- The character of John Gillnitz is an almagamation of of the writers' (Vince Gilligan, John Shiban, and Frank Spotnitz) names. The frequent writing team was given this name by "The X-Files" fans a while back. Unsurprisingly, the character is a writer/producer.
- Carol Banker is the first female director to work on a 1013 Productions show, except when Gillian Anderson directed an episode she also wrote on "The X-Files."
- The character of Fred Tobolowsky is most likely named after actor Stephen Tobolowsky, who portrayed Adam Burgess in the "Madam I'm Adam" episode of "The Lone Gunmen."
